Day 1: Introduction to HVAC & Tools + Safety

· Basic thermodynamics and heat transfer
· Indoor Air Quality (IAQ)
· Tools used in HVAC
· Electrical & mechanical safety: PPE, LOTO, fire safety
Practical
· Identifying HVAC system types and reading schematics
· Hands-on demo of HVAC tools and safe operation
Day 2: HVAC Components, Refrigeration Cycle & Charging
Theory
· Major system components (AHUs, FCUs, compressors, evaporators, etc.)
· Refrigeration cycle (VCC), refrigerant types, and global standards (Montreal Protocol)
Practical
· Component ID, disassembly/reassembly
· VCC simulation, leak testing, vacuuming, refrigerant charging
Day 3: Air Distribution, Electrical & Control Systems
Theory
· Ducting types, SMACNA standards, airflow measurement
· HVAC electrical basics, control systems, wiring diagrams
Practical
· Duct layout and air balancing
· Thermostat wiring, control board setup, fault diagnosis
Day 4: System Design, Installation & Commissioning
Theory
· Load calculation (Manual J/S/N), equipment sizing (ASHRAE)
· Installation standards for split/VRF systems, commissioning, QA/QC
Practical
· System design using software/tools
· Pipe fitting, brazing, insulation, installation simulation
Day 5: Maintenance, Troubleshooting, Testing & Certification
Theory
· PPM vs predictive maintenance, diagnostics, energy optimization
· Final checks, documentation, international certification paths
Practical
· Fault simulation and repair
· Cleaning procedures, energy audit basics
· Final commissioning, written & practical assessment
