Course Content
This electrical circuit breakers maintenance training course will discuss application, installation, maintenance and testing issues related to low, medium and high-voltage switchgear and electrical circuit breaker equipment. The course will provide delegates with a solid understanding of Circuit Breaker and switchgear theory and standards.
The course will also make delegates aware of issues concerning the proper application, installation and maintenance of circuit breaker equipment with a strong emphasis on safety. The course will cover a wide range of material starting from the basics and moving on to more complex issues.
Circuit Breaker is used to close or isolate the circuit in normal and abnormal condition and to protect the electrical equipment against the fault. Circuit breakers play an important role in the design and performance of a power system. The circuit breakers are the key pieces of apparatus protecting the system and thus ensures reliability of supply. Hence utmost care shall be taken for selection of the circuit breakers.
Circuit breakers are some of the most important components in modern electric power systems. The circuit breaker has to operate within extremely tight tolerances when a disturbance is detected in the network to protect sensitive and costly components such as transformers. They have to operate after months or in some cases years of inactivity.
To ensure proper function and optimize network reliability, reliable and efficient test instruments and methods are needed. New developments have made it possible to improve and re-evaluate conventional methods that sometimes involve time consuming and cumbersome process steps.
